Belmont is a city located in Pleasants County, West Virginia along the Ohio River. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,036. Belmont was incorporated April 19, 1946 by the Circuit Court of Pleasants County. The city is named for the beautiful hills surrounding the area. (More Info and Source)
